Artimus Robotics

I cofounded and led Artimus Robotics as CEO for five years. It was a University of Colorado spin-out commercializing HASEL actuation technology that I developed during my PhD. We built bio-inspired soft actuators that gave machines lifelike movement, shipping real hardware to real customers years before the current wave of humanoid robotics hype. I stepped away to move into venture investing, and Artimus continues to operate independently today.

Snow Visa

Snow Visa is an avalanche safety reference tool. It's a sticker for the tip of your ski or snowboard that puts critical decision-making information where you actually need it: in the backcountry. It's a passion project more than a business, but I like building things that should exist. It's sold at Neptune Mountaineering and was covered by 5280 and Wild Snow.

Brick by Brick

My first venture was buying and selling used ski equipment as a broke grad student to pay for an engagement ring. From there I built and ran a profitable wedding videography business end-to-end: creative, marketing, sales, and delivery. I organized Boulder Startup Week and stayed deeply embedded in Colorado's startup ecosystem. That operating experience now shapes how I work with founders as a Partner at Drive Capital, whether that means digging into the data or getting scrappy on finding the next customer.
